The Ogden Temple, located in northern Utah, was the first temple to be dedicated in the state of Utah. (The Logan, Salt Lake City, Manti and St. George temples were dedicated in the territory of Utah.) It is now being rebuilt. This site I’ve linked to is a great source to see photos and illustrations of the updated, new temple.
I must say I have mixed feeling of seeing this happen. The Ogden Temple is the temple I’ve known since childhood. I first received my temple covenants there, was a temple worker for over ten years there, and was sealed to my wife there. (I even proposed to her there.)
I’m sure I’ll feel better about losing ‘my’ temple when the new one is completed and ready to open again. Until then, I’m checking here regularly to see how things are going.
Click on the ‘webcam’ link near the top right of the page to see regularly updated pictures of the Temple. It can’t be done fast enough for me.

I took a ride up north to Brigham City with my wife and parents Sunday evening. It’s much further along than we thought it was. It’s going to be gorgeous.
