Well, my book has finally been green-lit for publishing. It’s very exciting to see it in print! I’m so glad I went with full color, it makes all the difference in the world. So yesterday evening, I clicked “publish” and made it available to all of you.
I’ve been given an e-store to sell it through. At some point in the next month, it will also be available on amazon.com, I’ll let you know when that happens. Right now, the advantage of my e-store is that I can offer discount codes for people who buy there. If you would like a to get a 15% off discount code (good only this month) and view a few sample pages, search for “Values. Illustrated Scriptures for Latter-day Saint Young Women.” on Facebook and click on like.
If this venture goes well, more books will follow.
Update: I now have a Facebook fan page. Go to www.facebook.com/ValuesBook
Another Update: It’s on amazon.com now.

As well as serving as a Primary Teacher in my ward (a wonderful calling!) I also type up the ward bulletin each week for my LDS ward. I’m also a graphic artist, so I enjoy making them look as professional as I can.
Each week I design a different cover featuring a scripture or quote from the general authorities of the church. My goal is to make them nice enough looking and informative enough that people will take them home (and not litter the chapel—I hate that!)
Some of the covers I’ll add some color to and post them here on tumblr. It seems a shame to throw them away after the week’s done.
I don’t know that it really matters, but I never post a design on tumblr until after it’s been on the Sunday cover. Maybe it’s because my inner geek like to use the “post later” feature on tumblr. Look for one to be posted tomorrow!
Other designs are made just for this blog (i.e., the Forgiveness poem). You’ll notice that a few of my designs are available for purchase as cards, stickers, posters, etc. on my online store. Today I just added some Book of Mormon scripture stickers.
It’s been interesting to see which of these designs have the most likes and reblogs. Your comments on these designs are always welcome, positive and negative. Just keep it civil, please.
